  • Copeland....

once I knew you so well, now we are merely acquaintances....but I'm willing to start anew with our friendship...

    that is..if you are?

I'm in love with the opportunities I've been given as of late...
    they have names!

Embery-- a beautiful little 3 year old girl who loves to dance (to Feist's 1234), sing (whilst I play the guitar and to Ray Charles), and tell me she loves me every other breath...

Jovie-- another beautiful little 4 (almost 5) month old girl who has the best baby giggle I've ever heard! She's so strong too...she's almost sitting up!

Sean-- the best hugger I know....at almost 2, he's already a lady killer...big brown eyes and an adorable afro...he loves throwing books off shelves and (because his mother is Kenyan) knows more Swahili commands than English...ha!

Thank you Father for allowing to reach into these little lives....as well as into the lives of their parents...
I am truly in love with the family(s) you have given me...

  • things I need...

    humility.
    perseverance.
    patience.
    faith.
    trust.

    ....in no particular order....

I've decided to make a list of things I want to do with the things I need...

    things I want to accomplish...**

    -be a cake designer!
    -visit Sesame Street...
    -live abroad..(don't we all)
    -be truly content....
-hug as many people as I can..
    -be organized
-read an entire book in a hammock.
    -ceaseless prayer
    -be a mother...to many
    -be a friend...to all
    -optimism

**note: needs must come first in order to accomplish...

    Thoughts whilst...
sitting outside my apartment, watching Lucy chew on a stick, stealing internet, eating Raisn Bran.

    thanks...

I'm watching TruTv and I just heard a guy holding up a convenient store bring in a nylon clothes hamper
put it on the counter and say....

    "Fill it up.."

    Clerk: "With Money?"

    "Yeah, boy!"

    Clerk: "Are You Crazy?"

    "And how.."

.....and how, is correct, my criminally minded friend...

    and how...

    I made a B....

and when going up to Dr. Bramlett's desk to go over the ones I missed his only response was...

"well at least it's better than the last one"

When did a B become unsatisfactory?

or, better question, when did my performance in school start to lag because of my nonchalant attitude towards education?

Developmental Psychology has given me a new view on the psychology of teaching and learning...

My formal education is coming to a close....but who likes formalities, anywho? I'm ready to learn...and by learn I mean experience...

I think if I had to chose an "-ist" to associate with....I'm pretty sure I'd be a social learning theor-ist....

    love.

    Xanga...

    Date of birth: c. 2003

    friends made from xanga?

    most of them....

isn't it strange that you can remember people by their "xanga/myspace" names?

I guess this is our generation....

use catchy usernames to create this secretive identity....
our whole existence based on hiding the truth about ourselves...

until someone asks to "meet you in person"....
    then "amongthestill" falls away...

and Laura is forced to be shown....

    well I say phooey!

    my name is Laura....
and I'm going to let you read all my old xanga posts (if you want that is)
just so you'll know when you meet me...all my ridiculous past...

welcome to the old black-haired, em0, scared of who she was....."tragic" (yet "poetic") life

    of Laura K Kelty....

    welcome home!
